Your royal trip begins as our driver meets you at the Udaipur airport (UDR) or railway station. After checking into your lakeside heritage hotel, spend your afternoon exploring the beautiful City Palace. Walk through the ornate rooms and balconies that overlook the water. In the evening, enjoy a peaceful boat ride on Lake Pichola as the sun sets behind the Aravali hills. The sight of the city lights reflecting in the lake is truly magical. Heritage Gardens & Local Art 598m
After breakfast, visit the Saheliyon-ki-Bari (Garden of Maidens), built for the royal ladies of the court. Next, visit the ancient Jagdish Temple, a masterpiece of Indo-Aryan architecture. In the afternoon, we head to Bagore Ki Haveli for a traditional folk dance performance by the lake. The High Fortress: Drive to Kumbhalgarh (100km) 1,100m
Today we head into the rugged Aravalli hills toward Kumbhalgarh. On the way, we’ll stop at the 15th-century Ranakpur Jain Temple, famous for its incredible marble carvings. Arrive at Kumbhalgarh (1,100m) by afternoon and check into your hill resort. In the late afternoon, we head to the massive Kumbhalgarh Fort. Walk along the giant 36km wall and watch the evening Light & Sound show that tells the history of the unconquered fort. Altitude: 1,100m.
Citadel of Valor: Drive to Chittorgarh (160km) 394m
After a mountain breakfast, we drive east toward Chittorgarh. Reach the massive UNESCO fort complex by afternoon. Explore the Vijay Stambh (Tower of Victory), the Rana Kumbha Palace, and the beautiful Padmini Palace surrounded by water. Our guide will tell you the epic stories of bravery that have defined this fort for centuries. Return to Udaipur in the evening for a celebratory farewell dinner. Altitude: 394m.
Final Walks & Heading Home 598m
Enjoy a slow morning by the lake. If time permits, visit the Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace for a bird's-eye view of the entire Mewar valley. After a final traditional breakfast, our driver will take you to the airport or station for your journey home. Your 5-day Mewar heritage trip ends here with many royal stories to tell.
