"We believe that travel in these mountains should never be rushed. Having spent years guiding travelers along these exact roads, my advice is to take the early morning walks when the air is absolutely crisp and local life is just starting. Avoid the generic tourist traps and ask our drivers to stop at the small roadside dhabas for fresh cedar-smoke chai. We don't just plan itineraries—we connect you with the real, unhurried soul of our home."

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Drive to the Hills: Joshimath to Auli (16km) 3,050m
Your winter journey begins in Joshimath (6,150 ft), the base for all Auli and Badrinath trips. If the road is clear, we’ll drive the winding 16km road to Auli; if there's heavy snow, we’ll take the 4km Auli Ropeway (India's longest). Arrive in Auli (3,050m) and check into your mountain resort. Spend your first evening relaxing and letting your body adjust to the high altitude while watching the sunset over the Nanda Devi massif. Tip: The cable car ride offers amazing views of the snow-laden oak forest that you shouldn't miss. Altitude: 3,050m.
Snow Fun: Skiing under Nanda Devi 3,050m
After a fresh breakfast, we head to the heart of Auli—the ski slopes. We’ll help you with equipment rentals and introduce you to our local instructors. If you're a beginner, they’ll teach you the basics on the gentle slopes. For advanced skiers, the 3km long run with its 500m drop is waiting for you. We’ll also visit the Auli Artificial Lake, a unique piece of engineering that helps keep the slopes snowy. Tip: The best time for photos of the high peaks is late afternoon from the top of the chair lift. Altitude: 3,050m.
The High Meadow: Gorson Bugyal Snow Trek 3,408m
Today we head even higher with a trek to Gorson Bugyal (3,408m). This 3km walk through thick oak and pine forests opens up into a massive, pristine alpine meadow. In winter, it's a white wonderland with breathtaking 360-degree views of Dronagiri and Kamet peaks. It’s an easy but rewarding walk that anyone with basic fitness can enjoy. Return to Auli by afternoon for a cozy bonfire at your resort. Tip: Wear good sunglasses to protect your eyes from the bright snow glare at Gorson. Altitude: 3,408m.
River Views & Final Departure Varies
Enjoy a final sunrise over the Garhwal peaks before we begin our drive back down to the plains. On the way, we’ll stop in Joshimath to visit the ancient Narsingh Temple, which has a deep history. As we drive through the Alaknanda valley, we’ll also pause at Devprayag to see the beautiful confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers. Our driver will take you back to Dehradun or Rishikesh for your onward journey. Altitude: Descent to 340m
