Drive to the Meadows: Rishikesh to Chopta (165km) 2,680m
Your mountain trip begins with a pick-up from Rishikesh. We drive through the beautiful Mandakini valley, stopping at Devprayag to see the birth of the holy Ganga. As we climb toward Chopta (2,680m), you’ll feel the air turn cool and smell the fresh pine forests of the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary. Check into your premium mountain camp in the meadows. In the evening, take a slow walk around the camp and keep your camera ready for the colorful Himalayan Monal bird. Enjoy a warm mountain dinner. Altitude: 2,680m.

Today is for the spiritual part of our journey. We start the 3.5km trek from Chopta to Tungnath (3,680m). The path is paved and winds through ancient forests of oak and rhododendron. Reaching the thousand-year-old stone temple—the highest of the five sacred 'Panch Kedar'—is a moment you'll always remember. Spend your afternoon at the temple ridge, soaking in the peace and the mountain views before walking back down to our camp. Tip: Drink plenty of water and walk slowly to help your body adjust to the height. Altitude: 3,680m.
Summit Day: Chandrashila Sunrise (4,000m) Summit at 4,000m
We start early at 4:30 AM to reach the Chandrashila summit (4,000m) before the sunrise. Watching the first light hit the massive Chaukhamba massif and Nanda Devi peak is the highlight of the trip. Standing on the 'Moon Rock' at dawn feels like being on top of the world. After some time at the peak, we walk back down to Chopta and then drive to the lower valley to stay near Rudraprayag for the night. Enjoy a celebratory meal with your group. Altitude: 4,000m (Summit).
Valley Views & Final Departure Varies
Enjoy a final morning by the Alaknanda river. We begin our slow drive back down toward the plains, stopping at some local heritage spots in the valley. We’ll reach Rishikesh by late afternoon. If you have time, attend the evening Ganga Aarti at the ghats before your onward journey home. Your 4-day summit trip concludes here with many mountain stories to tell. Altitude: Descent to 340m
