Your trip begins as our driver meets you at the Guwahati airport. We’ll head straight to the sacred Kamakhya Temple on Nilachal Hill, a place of great spiritual importance. In the evening, enjoy a relaxing sunset boat ride on the Brahmaputra river. Watch the sky turn golden over the water and keep an eye out for the rare river dolphins in the deep channels. Drive to the Rhino Kingdom: Tea Garden Walks (220km) 60m
After a fresh breakfast, we drive 220km east across the lush plains toward the Kaziranga sector. On the way, we’ll stop at a historic 19th-century tea estate. You’ll walk through the green tea bushes and visit the factory to see how the leaves are withered, rolled, and dried to create the famous Assam tea. Reach your premium jungle lodge near the park boundary by late afternoon and enjoy a quiet evening surrounded by the sounds of the forest. Altitude: 60m.
Kaziranga Safari: One-Horned Rhinos & Deep Jungle 60m
Today is all about wildlife. We’ll start with an early morning Jeep safari in the Western Range of the park, which is the best spot for seeing rhinos at close range. After a mid-day break, we head to the Central Range to explore the alluvial grasslands and look for wild water buffalo, deer, and many species of birds.
