Your trip starts with a pick-up from Rajkot or Jamnagar airport. Enjoy a comfortable drive through the Gujarat plains toward the Somnath coast. Upon arrival, visit the iconic Somnath Temple, the first of the twelve Jyotirlingas. See the beautiful sandstone carvings and learn about how the temple has been rebuilt over the centuries. Coastal Drive: Porbandar to Dwarka (230km) 3m
After a morning prayer at Somnath, we drive along the beautiful coastal highway toward Porbandar (230km). We’ll stop at Kirti Mandir, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, to see its traditional haveli architecture. On our way to Dwarka, we’ll also stop at the scenic Madhavpur Ghed beach for some photos. Reach Dwarka, the 'Gateway to Heaven', by late afternoon and visit the stunning Dwarkadhish Temple in the evening to see the night prayers. Altitude: Sea Level
Divine Islands: Dwarkadhish & Bet Dwarka 3m
Spend your morning visiting the grand Dwarkadhish Temple, a 2,500-year-old masterpiece. Watch the traditional 52-yard flag being hoisted, a unique ritual of this shrine. Later, enjoy a fun boat ride across the Okha channel to reach Bet Dwarka island. Explore the old temples and learn about the legends of the submerged city. Today we visit the stunning Shivrajpur Beach, famous for its crystal-clear water and clean sands. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sea breeze. In the afternoon, visit the Rukmini Devi Temple, known for its beautiful 12th-century stone carvings and its unique location outside the main city. Heading Home: Jamnagar Departure 100m
Enjoy a final breakfast in Dwarka before we drive back toward Jamnagar or Rajkot. We’ll stop at the Bala Hanuman Temple in Jamnagar, which is world-famous for its non-stop chanting.
